Melissa has worked in an assortment of academic, corporate, and public libraries. She’s always enjoyed reading, but fell totally in love with the written word when—as a youngster—she discovered Greek and Roman mythology and the Tolkien mythos. One of her major passions is sharing the magical world of stories, information, and ideas with the masses. This obsession led her to become a teacher and later a librarian. Her other passions include flower and herb gardening, listening to really good music (yes, Aretha Franklin still reigns), and having wonderfully hearty belly laughs with good friends.
